Hi! Welcome to my blog! My mission is to show a bit of what life is like for the Johnson's. I hope to have a picture in every blog and keep it simple! Enjoy!
Kathryn's birthday was on Wed (Feb 10th) and we did a lot of fun stuff. I made her a special shirt to wear and she loved it! She also completed the outfit by brushing her own hair and then putting a Minnie Mouse barrette in all by herself! She is getting to be quite the hairstylist! For her birthday we volunteered at the Y for 3 hrs and then we went to Sturgis and got to see Grandma and Grandpa Great (my mom's parents). Grandma Great gave her the supplies to make a Valentine's wreath and she did a great job putting it together. She also got to see Grandma Pam and Karter's Grandma and Grandpa at the church in Sturgis. We had to run though so we could get home to see Daddy (who'd been in Chadron the last 3 days) and then go to church at our church. Kathryn had fun passing out cookies for her birthday and Rachel was moved up to her class since she will be 2 this week. Rachel is quite the little - big girl sitting quitely in church and enjoying being with the big kids. Here's a picture of Kathryn (the barrette is right above her left ear) :-)
Our MOPS Moms n Tots event for this month was going to The Journey museum. We had a lot of fun. I thought you guys would enjoy a few pics. The craziest part of the day though was lunch. Four of us insane mommies decided to take our kiddos to Applebee's for lunch. There were 4 moms and 8 kids. It actually went really well and I ate for under $10 :-) Enjoy the pictures!
Apparently I've been feeling a bit crafty lately. For Christmas I made a few gifts and then the other day I made a cover for my new cricut. I really like how all three of these turned out. I did have a pattern for the cricut cover. It was from CustomCrops.com but it was a really simple pattern. The daisies on my cover are ones from my wedding! I knew having silk flowers would come in handy over the years and it really has! Kathryn said that she wanted to "hug it like its my friend". The K & R picture is the new wall decor I made for the basement. I love having pictures of my beautiful girls all over my house!
A few weeks ago I took the girls to Penney's for some sleepover pictures. We had a lot of fun getting pictures taken and then the girls got to play in the play place at the mall. What a great day!!
You know, I'm really not much of a writer and I guess that means I'm not much for blogging either. But, I'm ok with that. Here are some pictures of life with the Johnson's :-) Piggytail Day! Ice Cream Bucket Hat Day! (Rachel was wearing a wastebasket on her head and Mommy decided that an ice cream bucket would be cleaner and more see-through!)
I was looking through some old pictures and boy has Rachel's hair grown this year! The first picture is from May and the second one is from September (she has a ponytail). The last picture is from just the other day.
