10 years!

Today is our 10th anniversary! God has truly blessed me with such a wonderful husband. Thank you Lord, for bringing us together!

Let's Go Shopping!

Whenever we are already out Kathryn always says, "I don't want to go home, let's go shopping!" So, yesterday we went shopping at her favorite place, Shopko, looking at her favorite thing to shop for, shoes. The worst of it is that I think Rachel is already following in her shoes! She was picking out all kinds of cute sandals and then carrying them around the shoe department. It was better than going to the park for Rachel. We were just looking but we couldn't leave until Kathryn tried on some shoes to wear next time she goes to Grandma Pam's. I'm not sure why she thinks she needs new shoes for Grandma Pam's - they would probably just get all muddy anyway!

School Days

This morning we were able to stop at Grandma Pat's school to see the butterflies. They were brand new butterflies that had just emerged from their cocoon's. It was really neat to see them drinking orange juice (juice from an orange - literally) and fluttering around their cages. Pat's 2nd graders have been watching caterpillars turn into butterflies for quite a few years now. On the last day of school they will let the butterflies go. I think that she will miss the butterflies almost as much as she will miss the students after she retires! I know that I will miss taking the girls for Grandma's show and tell every year :-)

"My Favorite Stage"

Mom's are always saying, "This is my favorite stage!" in regards to what their child is currently able to do, how they act, whether they can talk or not, etc. Well, today, "This is my favorite stage!" The stage where the girls start scrapbooking so I can have some help on their albums!! Rachel is a very big, little helper. Kathryn is now past the helping Momma scrapbook phase - she has her own scrapbook. The first picture is Rachel from today, the second one is Kathryn when she first hit this stage :-)

Woolaroc

One thing we did while in Bartlesville, OK was go to Woolaroc. The whole time we were there it was raining and Woolaroc has a wildlife loop and some museums so we thought it would be a nice thing to do on a rainy day. Woolaroc was something Mr. Phillips (of Phillips 66) did with his spare time and money. It was actually pretty neat to see and it just happened that as we headed South out of Bartlesville the rain cleared up and it was almost dry for our time there. The girls really enjoyed the petting zoo and Kathryn had a blast running all over the large museum. Here are some pictures of the girls at Woolaroc.

Vacation with Grandma & Grandpa

Well, on Monday (April 27th) Kathryn left for her big trip with Grandma and Grandpa. She was going to "Doug's college" for his "gradation" and his "party". She spent two days in the van watching movies with an overnight stay in a motel with a pool. Everything a three year old could want! Then she spent two days playing with Doug, Bobbie, Grandma Pam, Grandpa Dallas, Grandma Great, Grandpa Great! By the time Juliet, Rachel, and I arrived she was pretty excited to see me. (Not that she would admit it though!) Well, we had fun in spite of the rain, here are some pictures from Kathryn's trip.

I love to EAT!

Rachel loves to eat! At about 8:00 this morning she had a bowl of cheerios mixed with yogurt and a whole banana. Then after a short nap this morning she had lunch. For lunch she had about 1 1/2 peaches (canned and cut up), 1/2 an egg salad sandwich, and then a plate of macaroni and cheese. This is what she looked like eating after having eaten the first part of her lunch. So, to end the meal she had 6 pringles potato chips (no I don't feed her chips very often). What I want to know is... where does all this food go?? She is 14 1/2 months old and only about 22 pounds! Well, that's our Rachel :-)
